What makes this chiropractor different? Dr. James (Jim) Schaffstall practices his health care art with intention, helping to correct and prevent your health care concerns.
There are three types of health care: relief care (relieving the symptoms), corrective care (removing the cause) and preventative care (maybe averting recurrences and other health problems). Dr. Schaffstall promotes corrective and preventative care. Understanding that there are primary and secondary subluxations, the doctor is meticulous in diagnosis of subluxations and adjusts precisely and gently, right down to the joints in the hands and feet. Upon finding and removing the primary subluxation, often the secondary subluxations are incidental. If you feel or hear more than one joint moving in a delivered adjustment, you are not being adjusted specifically. (See “About Chiropractic” for definition of subluxation.)
Each client is treated as a unique individual. The proper technique to use is the one that the client needs. Therefore, Dr. Schaffstall has been trained in various techniques and correctly applies those skills. The office has been equipped to treat children, athletes, pregnant women, adults and seniors.
